Antec DF600 FLUX Mid Tower Chassis Review

Conclusion and Verdict

So is this case special. Yes, as far as the included cooling solution goes. The number of included fans is something you don’t see from many case manufactures. And when you do the fans are not usually up to par. Not with the DF600 Flux, the fans are decent and the LED lights are not horrible. With the whole chassis being built on the F-Lux platform you can be assured that the case isn’t going to retain any heat. The amount of air being pulled in and paired with a rad on the top, the air is continuously cycled and you get fresh air cycling through the case all time. This case is going to be so beneficial to those new graphics card to. Those card will directly benefit from the air flow from the fan mounted on the power supply shroud. That cooler air will a huge benefit to entire system. I didn’t have a thermal sensor to check the internal air Temps but just from watching the temps in hardware monitor I saw a increase of an average of 1-2 degrees Celsius on my hardware temps. This is comparing to a open bench set up so the fact that this case was able to sustain similar temps I was impressed. All those fans do not really add much to the ambient noise. The fans are quite and not distracting at all and the lights look fantastic. Not bad for being included with the chassis.

My only concern is the amount of airflow. This can be a double edged sword. This will accumulate dust fast. The are plenty of filters installed on the intake part of the case but the shear amount of airflow will attract even the smallest amount of dust. The front fans have a filter but they are before the filter so the fins are going to become the dirtiest part of the system. Maybe it would help remind me to clean my computer more often! Just keep that in mind. The more air you move the faster it will get dusty.

The Antec DF600 FLUX can be found on Newegg and you can also buy the Antec DF600 FLUX Mid Tower Chassis for around USD $68 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/2HVxNdi

Pros:

  • Price
  • Cooling Capabilities
  • Moves a Ton of Air, almost like having an open bench
  • Tempered Glass Panel
  • Included Fans
  • Included ARGB controller, up to 6 fans

Cons:

  • The front fans do have a dust filter but it is, after the fans, not a pre fan filter. So those fans will need more cleaning.
