Cooler Master Masterbox NR200 Chassis Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Every SFF case has specific specifications so be sure you pay close attention to these when choosing the parts you  intend to use in this case. For one, this case will require a SFX PSU but has several options for motherboard sizes. These kind of specs can vary case to case so be sure to find one that meets all your demands. As far as building goes, I appreciated the tool less panels the most. They all come off very easy and give you access to literally every part of the case. A lot of SFF cases are rated in Liters. This an easy and quick way to help determine the amount of area this case will take up or internal space for parts. This case rings in at 18L. Now this is by far not the smallest you can go but if you do, you would be sacrificing something on the other end. Whether that be cooling capabilities or install options. I won’t say if I will or won’t be jumping in on the SFF build train but it honestly wasn’t that bad. If you are a casual user or gamer and don’t need the extra support offered by a full ATX build then the NR200 cases  might be right up your alley.

So we have a VGA limitation of 330mm of length,156mm of height, and 60mm of width. We could fit the new Ampere cards with no issue and there will be a panel with ventilation situated tight there by the graphics card. In a two slot card you could possibly fit a slim profile fan right below the card to even enhance the cooling capabilities. For the CPU cooler we have a limitation of 155mm of height. There is some limitation here so be careful when choosing an Air Cooler. The power supply is limited to a max of 130mm. You also have plenty of options for storage devices too. There are a max of two spots for 3.5″ and three spots for 2.5″ drives. Now for an AIO just keep in mind the hoses are going to be under some stress depending on the block setup. As far as any cooling concerns just with the included fans, I honestly see none. The intake, exhaust and open design panels help get rid of all that hot air.

The Cooler Master NR200 White SFF Mini-ITX Case can be found on Amazon and other e-tailers for around $79.99 USD.

Pros:

  • Price
  • Cooling Capabilities
  • Included Fans
  • Storage Bay Options
  • There is a Tempered Glass Model (NR200P)
  • Sturdy Metal Construction

Cons:

  • None

Final Thoughts:

The NR200 may be small in size but has every option you could want in a SFF case. The size may be small but the features and capabilities are far from that. We would easily recommend this case for your mini-ITX build!
