Cooler Master Masterbox NR200P MAX Chassis Review (inc. 850W SFX PSU)

Installation

As with most of our PC builds, we usually pre-install the CPU, ram and M.2 SSD on to the motherboard before-hand. This is our recommended method, as it allows for a much easier installation in side the chassis.

We installed the ASRock B550-ITX motherboard in to the chassis, and proceeded to mounted the CPU waterblock on to the Ryzen 7 4750G processor. It was very tight, but everything did fit nicely inside the chassis. Next we plugged in the 24-pin ATX power cable and the 2 x 4-pin CPU/Motherboard cables.

And finally, we installed the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 which is a full-length graphics card, and that fitted nicely using the included PCIE 4.0 rise cable, which allowed us to mount the card vertically.

Temperature (Idle)

With such a compact mini-ITX, I was concerned about the airflow in and around the CPU, ram and our massive GeForce RTX 3090. From what I can see, it’s using the 280mm AIO cooler to draw the excess heat out of the chassis, so we shouldn’t have any issues as long as the 280mm AIO cooling is doing its job properly.

Voltage readings taken from ADIA64 at idle

  • +12V : 12.302V
  • +5V : 4.992V
  • +3V : 3.360V

Temperature (Load)

Full load temperatures reached a high 80 degrees Celsius for our Ryzen 7 4750G. The built-in 280mm AIO cooler seems to be doing a decent job of cooling the CPU. I have no complaints here.

Voltages at full load all dropped slighly, but nothing to worry about. The included Cooler Master V850W SFX power supply was able to handle huge power draws from the GeForce RTX 3090.

Voltage readings taken from ADIA64 under load

  • +12V : 12.197V (-0.105V)
  • +5V : 4.944V (-0.048V)
  • +3V : 3.312V (-0.048V)
