In Win 509 Full Tower Chassis Review

Verdict and Conclusion

The In Win 509 is a solid chassis with good build quality. The tempered glass for both the front and side panel is a nice feature, and makes the chassis look sleek and classy. However, not everyone is a fan of the construction material which is SECC (Steel, Electrogalvanized, ColdRolled, Coil). For me, I really don’t mind whether chassis is SECC or Aluminum, although the latter would be lighter in weight.

Other good features include the ability to mount up to 9 hard drives, the 5 rubberized routing holes for cable management, and you also get a ton of options for extra cooling.

On the front of the chassis, you can now mount up to 3 x 120mm fans (or 2 x 140mm) AND a 360mm radiator for watercooling if you wish. And on the bottom, you can additionally mount another 3 x 120mm fans (or 2 x 140mm) or another 360mm radiator. Now how’s that for your cooling options!

The chassis supports a wide range of motherboard sizes including E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX. However, I think an E-ATX motherboard may be a little tight.

The In Win 509 chassis will cost you around USD $150-180, which I think is an amazing price! Especially when you have a pretty solid chassis with tempered glass and loads of options for cooling.

Pros:

  • Amazing price
  • Tempered glass
  • Mount up to 9 hard drives
  • Removable HDD bracket
  • Tons of cooling options
  • Cable management
  • OK with Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler 🙂

Cons:

  • Not really ideal for E-ATX motherboards
  • No USB-C connector

Final Words:

If you’re after a full tower chassis that offers solid build quality with tempered glass, and loads of options for cooling, then you might want to consider the In Win 509. It’s a chassis that’s amazingly affordable, and will suit most users and enthusiasts.
