Raidmax Viper GX II Chassis Review

Conclusion and Verdict

In Conclusion, the Viper GX II is a well thought out gaming mid-tower. Ocer the past week, I had my wife’s gear installed into the GX II allowing her the ability to see what it would have been like had we been able to get the GX version. She loved this gaming tower! The installation process was as easy as it gets having the cut-outs, Velcro ties, tie mounts, and drive rails.

The Viper GX II had plenty of room after installation, and with the two pre-installed 120mm fans allowed for great air flow through out the tower. My wife also loved the outside look of the GX II.

The all black with orange accents makes the Viper GX II eye popping. Having the 120mm LED fan just pushes the Viper GXII looks over the top. Priced at around 85 USD, the GX II is definatly worth the time and money.

Pros:

  • Easy to install Drive Rails
  • Hot Swap SSD bay
  • Velcro tie and tie mounts
  • Pre-Installed 120 LED fan
  • Plenty of air flow

Cons:

  • Tool-free Optical Drive loose
  • Front Panel made of plastic

Final thoughts:

While no the only reason users look for when buying a tower, the over all design and looks of the Viper GX II is eye catching. Having all the bells and whistles that gamers have come to love while also having plenty of room and air flow has the Viper GX II, in my opinion, every bit worth the time and price.
