Streacom DA2 V2 (Black) ITX Chassis Review

Product Photos – Exterior

Once we unpack the DA2 V2, we will find out that its surface is not simply painted black but’s made of anodized aluminum. What does it mean? For end-users, it means higher surface quality and much higher scratch resistance than typical painted cases.

Depends on the light, you may see it also looks slightly metallic. I tried to show the product from different angles and with a different type of light to show how it really looks. Even though the surface isn’t glossy, you can sometimes see a blurred reflection of other objects. This is how smooth is the surface of the DA2 V2.

The case arrives with side panels made of perforated aluminum. It’s the optimal version that gives high airflow and lets to install more demanding components. Those who wish to use tempered glass panels have to count on worse airflow and depends on the graphics card or CPU cooler installation, also significantly worse temperatures. In our tests, we could see up to 15°C worse temperatures for the CPU and GPU when glass panels were in use and up to 10°C difference between standard and vertical graphics card mount.

The front has no airflow, so we have to think about the location of the components. The front looks really simple. We will find there only one USB-C and a power button with a tiny white LED. This LED is a great idea as it’s bright but small enough not to spread flashy light around.

Now let’s take a look at the interior.
