CRYORIG C1 Low Profile CPU Cooler Review

Specifications and Features

Specification pictures are available on the CRYORIG website and on the package. On the list supposed to be also AM4 socket as whole line of available Ryzen processors is supported. However in the package there is no mounting kit for this platform and if you wish to use it then have to buy it separately or simply ask CRYORIG to send this kit for free ( after registering your product ).

Below you can see how CRYORIG C1 can be installed on typical ITX motherboard. Later you will see a couple of photos how I made it using non-standard ASUS Maximus IX APEX motherboard. It’s EATX motherboard with ITX socket and memory space.

Package and its contents

Our review sample has arrived in a retail package which is nice looking box with whole product description on the sides.

Inside we can find all we need to install our new cooler so mounting kits for all listed sockets, required tools, CP9 thermal grease and the manual.

Worth to mention is that after registering your cooler can receive additional three-year warranty so it’s worth to spend couple of minutes to register on the CRYORIG website.

Heatsink isn’t really small. It covers a bit more than 140mm but still works with nearly all motherboards. To check compatibility you can use compatibility tester available on the CRYORIG website. Simple and easy to use tool.

CRYORIG C1 is clearly top quality product. Everything is just perfect. It looks great and just feels it’s a premium product.

Base of the cooler is made of pure copper and covered with nickel. It maybe doesn’t have mirror finish but it’s flat and thermal grease spreads well.

Used fan has 140 mm width/length while its height is only 13 mm. It helps to limit whole cooler height by about 10 mm what can be important in some small PC cases. If you wish to install thicker fan then in the package there is mounting kit.

At the end couple of photos with CRIORIG C1 installed on ASUS Maximus IX APEX. As I mentioned earlier it’s installed in alternative way because of DIMM card in use which has installed two M.2 SSD drives. CRYORIG supports most tall memory modules like Ballistix Elite which are on the photos but ASUS DIMM card is just too tall. It doesn’t change fact that cooler could be installed other side without any issues. It’s additionally cooling motherboard’s power section so it’s not that bad option too.

You can also see that there is not much space between cooler and the graphics card but all fits without issues.

On the next page we will show how CRYORIG C1 is performing.
