CRYORIG H7 Quad Lumi RGB CPU Cooler Review

Specifications and Features

CRYORIG H7 Quad Lumi looks almost like a well known H7 cooler but there are some changes. For sure new are RGB LEDs which are just impossible not to notice. There are also four heatpipes so the Quad Lumi should offer a bit better performance than the H7.

The H7 Quad Lumi is compatible with all modern desktop platforms what also includes AMD AM4 socket. Most other coolers have AM4 installation kit added in separate package but the H7 Quad Lumi comes with everything in the box.

Since I mentioned the package then maybe couple of words about it.

Package of the H7 Quad Lumi keeps the same design as all other CRYORIG coolers. It’s black and white box with large H7 sign on one side so you simply can’t mistake it for any other cooler. On the back is nearly full cooler specification and when we open the box then we will see additional information about registration on the CRYORIG website. Barely anyone is registering products but in this case it’s really worth it as we receive additional three year warranty on the cooler. In total it’s six years of warranty and that’s the best option on the market right now.

Cooler itself looks great. I like the Hive Fin design of the heatsink which also supposed to improve performance. Since we don’t have a cooler with standard fin design to compare then we have to trust manufacturer informations based on lab tests. However, overall performance will be visible in our tests so there is nothing lost.

Heatsink base is made of nickel plated copper and there are four heatpipes connected to the coldplate. Heatpipes cover nearly all base so it seems optimal for a cooler this size.

The fan is specified to spin between 330 and 1600 RPM and it really works in this range. Depends on CPU load and temperature fan adjusts its speed. Nothing new but fan is quiet for most of the time what really counts.

Below you can see how lighting works. I wish to see RGB LEDs also in fan as there is only white LED. It still looks good as you see.

CRYORIG H7 Quad Lumi is using NZXT CAM software which works great and has additional features like temperature monitoring. RGB lighting can work in couple of modes. All who are using motherboards with LED lighting like ASUS ROG or MSI Gaming series already know what to expect. There is everything from static light to rainbow mode or pulsing. Really nice effects so I guess that lighting enthusiasts should be satisfied.
