Enermax Liqmax II 240 AIO Water Cooling Review

Performance

Performance has been tested on the Intel Kaby Lake platform which includes the i7-7700K processor and Supermicro C7Z270-CG motherboard. Processor’s voltage was about 1.2V what let to set at least 4.5GHz on most samples.

There were three tests for each cooler. Idle is just Windows after boot where only some standard services are working in the background. Mixed test base on PCMark tests so includes both, home and office applications and simple games. Maximum load had been tested in AIDA64 CPU/FPU stability test.

Enermax Liqmax II 240 performs great in all tests. Temperatures are low for AIO cooler but I would stay at lower fan speed. 2000 RPM offer high performance but is already loud. 1600 RPM offer good balance between high performance and generated noise but the best seems lowest speed mode which still offers high performance while for most of the time fans are really quiet. Especially when PC case is closed and placed on the floor then you won’t even hear the cooler.

Pump is not making any noise what is of course good. There is no buzzing like it happens in competitive products.

I also have to add a word about test results. Presented are only temperatures but you have to consider additional factors like fan speed or radiator size. There is also fan speed management. Some fans are not working at their maximum speed up to 80°C if not more. Used were standard fan profiles but depends on the motherboard, results can be different.

All above factors are not changing the fact that the Liqmax II 240 offers great performance and I can clearly recommend it to gamers and other more demanding users.
