Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 Cooler Review

Product Photos

The NH-D15 SE-AM4 comes in a quite big, well described box. It looks like boxes from other Noctua coolers, it’s just bigger.

Inside the box we can find everything we may need to install our new cooler. There is double orientation mounting kit so we can pick which way we want to install the cooler or which way is optimal for our setup. Of course manual, simple screwdriver and high performance thermal grease.

Set contains two NF-A15 fans which are quite large but provide perfect balance between high performance and quiet work. Speed range of these fans is between 300 and 1500 RPM.

Both fans have additional rubber pads so there won’t be any noise due to vibrations. Noctual sticks to typical brownish color of their fans. Users may like it or not but looks like it’s a trademark of Noctua. Seeing these fans you just know it’s Noctua.

Heatsink is huge but was designed with full compatibility on mind. Even though it’s so big, we can install all, even the tallest memory kits. For tests were used G.Skill Trident Z and Ballistix Elite memory modules which are rather tall and there were no issues.

Heatsink looks amazing. Dual tower build is not really popular but it’s offering the best performance as we can see.

At the end couple of more photos of Noctua NH-15D SE-AM4. What can I say, it’s simply top quality cooler and no wonder that Intel version is so popular.

On the next page we will take a closer look at the performance on AMD Ryzen platform.
