Noctua NH-U12S Cooler & NF-F12 Fan Review

Verdict and Conclusion

Now it comes to it.  As far as fans go, this is a welcome addition to the family, but again it shares a strikingly similar price to the bigger, more powerful product, the A15.  Though, technically, that’s not necessarily a mark against it since it’s obviously meant to be used with smaller heatsinks, and I wouldn’t mind seeing it perform with a more powerful one.

Nothing horribly negative comes to mind, with the possible exception of the price.  At $30.00 USD, you get a keen sense of just how expensive these things have gotten over the years.  Not that it’s not worth it in most cases.

If the fans were faster, you could probably expect a bit lower scores, but the idea here is a balance of speed and noise which means I’m not too upset about it.

Would I recommend it?  Eh, sort of.  If it had been $5.00+ cheaper, I would probably have given it the seal of approval.  As is though, it’s good enough, just make sure you can afford to splurge a little.
