Conclusion and Verdict
Scythe Mugen 5 is clearly an improvement for older version. It performs great, runs quiet and has multiple design changes that just make it feel like it’s higher quality product. Performance was already good in the older version but design changes make it easier to install in smaller PC cases.
Mugen 5 has Kaze Flex fan which is really quiet and feels solid. Scythe is also declaring longer lifespan so I guess it’s not only my feeling.
Mugen 5 is compatible with almost all available desktop platforms. It also works with all available memory kits. Installation is quite simple and I doubt that any even less advanced user will have any problems.
