I’m used to seeing successful coolers under the Scythe logo for long years, so I wasn’t anxious about the Shuriken 2 cooler. I was still curious how the cooler works on new processors as more popular are getting small builds, and more users ask for tests like ours.
I can say that the Shuriken 2 cooler performs well and is one of the best options in this size on the market. If you don’t need a high series processor, then for sure, it will meet the needs. I still recommend processors up to 65W TDP as an additional 20W make a significant difference in generated noise. Our Ryzen 5 4650G was working great during lower load or mixed load tests, but the cooler was already clearly audible during the maximum load tests. It’s not an issue for most users but still worth mentioning that it is better to use lower wattage processors.
The Scythe Shuriken 2 CPU cooler costs around $39.99 in the Amazon store. It’s quite a low price to pay for a good compact cooler. For sure, it’s a good option if we require a cooler for less demanding processors.

The cooler performs well for such a small size and it’s compatible with all modern CPU sockets. As long as we use mainstream CPU series, then it will run quietly. As usual, Scythe released a high-quality product that is also inexpensive, so it’s hard not to recommend it.
