Dell Latitude 7390 Ultrabook Review

System Properties and Information

Most laptops on the market feature 8GB of ram. But the Dell Latitude 7390 comes with 16GB of ram … double the size, plus faster than normal at DDR4-2400.

I just love it when I see lots of CPUs in the device manager. the Core i7-8650U features 4 cores and 8 threads.

The Core i7-8650U is based on Intel’s 8th Gen mobile processor, which is based on an enhanced version of the Kaby Lake microarchitecture.

CPU-Z and SPD Information

The information shown on CPU-Z looks all good. 16GB of DDR4-2400 from Micron running at 1200MHz, while the processor is running at the normal speed of 1.9GHz.

The Latitude 7390 is extremely light-weight and compact business laptop, measuring 304.8mm(L) x 16.33mm (H) x 207.9mm(W) and only 1.19 kg (2.63 lbs) in weight.

Dell has other models of the 7390. There’s the 2-in-1 model with a flip-over touchscreen, and another version (non-flip) with a normal touchscreen panel.

A Closer Look

The Latitude 7390 features a full-size 82-key back-lit keyboard that’s responsive and comfy to type. It also has a not so amazing, but standard track pad that does the job.

On the right side of the 7390, you’ll find a gigabit LAN port, USB 3.1 port, micro SD card slot, a SIM card slot and a 3.5mm headphone/mic jack.

On the left side, there’s a Thunderbolt 3 port, an HDMI output, and a USB 3.1 port. There’s also a standard Dell power connector, but you can also use the USB Type-C to charge the laptop.

The underside of the laptop is fairly bare … with only the model name and a Windows 10 sticker. For video conferencing and/or video calls, the top of the screen bezel features a 1 megapixel 720p webcam, which is OK.
