The Laptop Itself
The laptop seems to be an average size, measuring 357.7mm x 248mm 26.9mm (LxWxH). Not the thinnest, but it does have a GeForce RTX 2070 … and that requires cooling!
Cooling/exhaust vents can be found under the laptop as well as on the back and left side of the laptop. The webcam is located on the top side of the monitor bezel. There’s also a nice but discrete “Raider” logo at the back.
A Closer Look
There’s not many gaming laptops that offer a 240Hz IPS panel … and MSI wants to make sure you know that! With graphics powered by a GeForce RTX 2070 (non Max-Q), the boost in performance is noticeable.
For connectivity, you get 1 x mic-in and 1 x headphone out, as well as 1 x Killer gigabit LAN port, 1 x SD Card slot, 1 x HDMI, 1 x Mini Displayport, 2 x USB 3.1 gen 2 (both Type-A and Type-C) and 2 x USB 3.1 gen 1 ports.
There a 3 buttons on the top right just above the keyboard. These buttons are Active Fan, RGB lightning modes for the keyboard and Power/Sleep button.
