Today, we’ll be taking a quick look at the ADATA XPG Spectrix D60G DDR4-3600 16GB memory kit. These memory modules are rated to run at a maximum speed of DDR4-3600 MHz at 1.35V, with a low memory timing of 17-18-18-36. It supports both XMP 2.0 profiles, as well as dual channel mode. The modules feature a tungsten grey heatspreader and comes with a X-light and Diamond-cut design, giving it a multi-faceted surface and unique avant-garde styling. It also supports all major RGB ecosystems including Asus AURA sync, Gigabyte Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, and ASRock Polychrome RGB.
You would have thought by now that everyone’s sick of RGB, but no … it is still a thing, even in 2019, and I can see it being a thing for 2020 as well. Well for me, I can’t really live without it … hahaha! Give many anything RGB, and it gets maximum brownie points from me.
What you’ll notice with recent RGB ram is that, more and more of its surface area, which is normally covered by heatspreaders, is being used for RGB. The XPG Spectrix D60G memory modules has over 60% of its surface area dedicated to RGB lighting! Now if that’s not illuminating for you, then I don’t what is 😛

We’ll be testing the XPG Spectrix D60G memory modules on our test rig, which is comprised of an ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming X motherboard, along with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and a Zotac GeForce GTX 2080 AMP Extreme Core (8GB GDDR6) graphics card.
I will be fascinating to see how bright the RGB lighting effects will be on the XPG Spectrix D60G modules. But one thing’s for sure, it will be very illuminating.
I’m expecting some decent performance, but what will be interesting is … will it run at full XMP 2.0 profile speed of DDR4-3600? We all know that AMD systems can be very sensitive when it comes to memory timings and XMP profile.
