Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR4-3000 Memory Kit Review

Thanks to Corsair, we’ll be taking a look at their Vengeance RGB 32GB DDR4-3000 Quad Channel Memory Kit. It comes in the form of 4 sticks of 8GB modules giving you a total of 32GB, and offers speeds of DDR4-3000 with super low timings of 15-17-17-35 @ 1.35v.

Ever since Corsair announced these these memory modules in March in 2017, I’ve been looking at them with piqued interest. That’s because these DDR4 memory kits offers “wire-free” RGB, plus they’re made by Corsair! There are tons of manufacturers producing memory kits with LEDs … mostly single color. Some, like the GEIL EVO X do offer RGB, however, you still need to plug in a cable to the RGB header on the motherboard. With Corsair’s Vengenance RGB memory modules, there are no cables.

Other features include anodized Aluminum heat spreader, life-time warranty, XMP 2.0, and low latency. What’s interesting is that the RGB lighting can be controlled via Corsair’s LINK software.

Corsair Link Installer v4.6.0.86
  • Full single-color Vengeance DRAM support (including synced pulse) for Z170/Z270
  • Full Vengeance RGB DRAM support for Z170/Z270
  • X99 support for both items above (Beta)
  • DRAM Timings shown in UI
  • DRAM Part number shown for UI
  • SP RGB Fan support for Lighting Node PRO
  • Addressed issue with H110i that may run pump at lower RPM until software startup
  • Kabylake CPU support

We’ll be testing these modules on our test rig which is comprised of an Asus Maximus XI Hero (Z270) motherboard, an Intel Core i5-7600K, along with a GeForce GTX 1070. Let’s see how good they really are!
