Crucial 32GB DDR5-5600 Memory Kit Review

Overclocking

Disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed, so the results may vary depending on certain conditions and various hardware configurations. I am not recommending overclocking if you do not know what you are doing. High voltages may damage hardware, and the warranty will not cover it.

Crucial moved forward with a brand new IC that can pass DDR5-6000, and we could even reach DDR5-6400 on the AMD platform. The DDR5-6400 result wasn’t fully stable, which can be related to some test platform components, so we will retest it soon on another motherboard.

I was even more surprised that the memory kit could easily run at CL32. Our DDR5-6200 CL32-44-44 1.35V result is fully stable, but because of more relaxed sub-timings, it’s also slightly slower than the DDR5-6000 CL32-42-42 1.35V.

The memory kit couldn’t run at CL30, but the final result is very satisfying anyway. Even though it’s not the best overclocking memory then, for the AMD platform, it’s optimal and should provide great results in everything we will do.

The operating temperature was at about 60°C after overclocking, so it still doesn’t require heatsinks or direct airflow.
