GEIL EVO Potenza DDR4-2400 16GB Memory Kit Review

The Box and Packaging

The box and packaging is pretty standard. There’s a label at the back showing you the memory spec and timings. Inside the box, you’ll find the two 8GB modules giving you a 16GB kit (dual channel).

A Closer Look

The memory modules comes equipped with some nice looking red heat spreader, but no LEDs. They are designed with GeIL’s MTCD – Maximum Thermal Conduction & Dissipation technology for superior cooling efficiency.

Installation

No issues with installation. As you can see from the photos below, there was plenty of room above the heat spreaders. It should fit most motherboards and ATX cases.

The red heat spreaders has a pretty good look to them … they’re perfect for any system builder who wants to match their color scheme of their motherboards with red/black.

OK, now let’s check out the BIOS and memory settings for our tests …
