GEIL Super Luce DDR4-3000 16GB Memory Kit Review

The Box and Packaging

Not much to say about the box and packing. It’s just like any other memory product out there. In side the box, you’ll find the two 8GB modules giving you a 16GB kit (dual channel).

A Closer Look

The memory modules come with some nice looking heat spreaders, which are slightly taller than other modules I’ve tested. On the top of the memory modules you’ll find the Blue LED strip. I would like to remind you, these modules are not RGB.

I do like the design and look of these modules. The blue LED strip goes well with our recent project build which is based on a blue/white theme – Project MakeMeCooler Doraemon.

Installation

We didn’t experience any issues with installation. The height of the modules were low enough to fit within our motherboard with good clearance around the CPU socket.

As soon as you power up the system … sure enough, the breathing pattern of the blue LEDs kicks in courtesy of GEIL’s iLUCE Thermal-beaming technology. I must admit, it does look rather sexy in our PC build – Project: MakeMeCooler Doraemon

OK, now let’s check out the BIOS and memory settings for our tests …
