Kingston HyperX Savage 2x4GB DDR3-2400 CL11 RAM Review

There is still couple of days until the premiere of the all-new DDR4 based desktop platform. While waiting for this new type of memory, Kingston has replaced its mid-level Genesis series with a brand new HyperX Savage DDR3 series. DDR3 will be still the most popular desktop memory for a long time so without hesitation we can invest in a better memory for our computers right now.

Our review will be based on the 2x4GB kit and the highest available frequency of DDR3-2400. Let’s find out how HyperX Savage is performing in our tests.

Gamescom, August 13, 2014 − HyperX®, a division of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, announced HyperX Savage high-performance memory. HyperX Savage replaces HyperX Genesis and offers experienced enthusiasts, gamers and content creators a cutting edge look.

It features a black PCB encompassed by an eye-catching Savage red, asymmetrical heat spreader made of aluminium with a diamond-cut finish. The low profile makes it a perfect for oversized CPU coolers.

HyperX Savage is available in high-speed frequencies up to 2400MHz, low CAS latencies and capacities up to 32GB. The high speeds help increase system performance and ultra-responsive multitasking. HyperX Savage is also Intel® XMP-ready which enables end users to easily overclock their system by simply selecting a memory profile with no need for manual adjustments in the BIOS.

I am always happy to see a new memory series on the market, especially when I can test it so I will not make this introduction much longer and move forward to the next page of this review.
