Today we have the Patriot Viper 4 Blackout Series DDR4 16GB 4133MHz Kit. This is some blazing fast memory. 4133MHz is some of the highest speed RAM you can get off the shelf. What we will find interesting today is if this RAM will in fact boot in XMP mode on my AMD Ryzen 3700X. Fingers crossed but we all know the troubles with high speed memory on the 3700x. We will also be testing them on my old reliable Core i5-8600K. This will give us a nice comparison between the two systems, as far as RAM testing goes. Its becoming a rare sight to not see RGB on everything. Honestly I still get excited when I see a new product coming out with some exuberant RGB. This RAM doesn’t feature any RGB and let me tell you why this is actually a benefit to performance. RGB requires power to run and that power has to be sacrificed from somewhere. And that some where is the direct draw from the modules. This may be minimal but if you want every bit of performance out a module pass on the RGB especially on your RAM and SSD’s. So you can bet your money we will get every bit of the intended performance out of this RAM today.
