Patriot Viper RGB DDR4-3000 16GB Memory Kit Review

Installation and Test Rig

For our tests, we used our Lian-Li Test Rig which consists of an Asus ROG Strix B360-F Gaming motherboard, along with and Intel Core i7-8700K (Coffee Lake) and a Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 (8GB GDDR5) graphics card.

The RGB Lighting in Action!

You can sync these memory modules with any of the 4 major RGB eco-systems … Asus’s Aura Sync, MSI’s Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte’s RGB Fusion and ASRock’s Polychrome Sync. In this case, we installed them on the Asus ROG Strix B360-F gaming motherboard with Asus’s Aura Sync.

 

CPU-Z and SPD Information

Ram timings show the correct figures … rated at 15-17-17-35. Notice the memory ICs are made by Samsung and they are “Enthusiast” certified supporting XMP 2.0 profiles.
