Team Group Vulcan T-Force 16GB DDR4-3000 Memory Kit Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Team Group is constantly refreshing its memory series and Vulcan is a good example for that. We’ve seen couple of changes in the Vulcan line in last years while all of them are offering good quality but also well balanced performance and price. We know there are faster memory series or better overclocking but most users can’t really see performance gain above some point where DDR4-3000 memory kits seem perfect spot for everything, especially for gaming.

Vulcan T-Force is clearly high quality memory designed to last. We had no issues with stability on couple of motherboards on various chipsets. XMP profile was also working without issues what is not always happening in competitive series.

Overclocking potential is high but depends from used motherboard so if you want to try your luck then be sure you have good motherboard with the latest BIOS/UEFI. On our ASRock Z170 OC Formula best results were on the latest beta BIOS/UEFI released couple of days ago. Our maximum frequency of 1800MHz ( DDR4-3600 ) gives high hopes on good results in all Vulcan memory kits. At the same time maximum fully stable frequency at the settings which are programmed in XMP profile was 1600MHz ( DDR4-3200 ) what is also good result but it’s not hard to notice that XMP profile has quite relaxed timings. Overclocking is never guaranteed but our results are showing high overclocking potential which can be unleashed on higher series motherboards.

Team Group Vulcan T-Force 2x8GB DDR4-3000 CL16 memory kit prices are starting from about $85 what is a great price point for most users. This memory is inexpensive but also as I mentioned, is well balanced. You are not paying for things you won’t really use or will barely affect your daily work. At the same time you get high quality, fully stable memory kit with lifetime warranty. I guess it’s a great choice for gamers or other users who are building new computers.

Pros:

  • Flawless configuration and stability
  • Compatible with Z170 and X99 motherboards ( even though designed for Z170 )
  • High performance
  • Inexpensive
  • Fresh design

Cons:

  • Timings in XMP profile could be tighter

Final words:

Team Group Vulcan T-Force is clearly interesting memory series with unique looks. Good performance, high overclocking potential and flawless work are only some of the advantages worth to mention. This memory was designed for gamers and I think it perfectly fits most gamers needs.

Team Group T-Force 16GB DDR4-3000 is simply great memory worth to recommend by our redaction!
