Thermaltake TOUGHRAM RC DDR5-4800 32GB Memory Kit Review

The Box and Packaging

The black heatspreaders look plain and a little boring, but that’s expected. It’s designed for the Thermaltake Floe RC Ultra 240 CPU & Memory AIO Liquid Cooler, so all the visuals will come from the LCD display on the memory waterblock.

A Closer Look

These memory modules uses high-quality SK Hynix ICs which are known to overclock really well. I have a feeling I’ll be able to overclock them fairly aggressive.

Installation

Using the Thermaltake Floe RC Ultra 240 AIO Liquid Cooler, mounting the memory waterblock can be a little tricky. The spacing around the CPU waterblock, processor socket and memory DIMM slots are very tight. You just need a little patience, bend the braided tubing, and secure the memory waterblock with the included screws that come with the cooler.

As I’ve said before, DDR5 ram is not compatible with DDR4, and so the notch on the memory module is positioned slightly different. Just make sure you align the notch to the DIMM slots on the motherboard and insert firmly.
