Thermaltake TOUGHRAM White 16GB (8x2GB) DDR4 4000MHz Memory Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Now let me start off by saying this RAM is not on the supported list from Thermaltake but it worked flawlessly on the B550 chipset. Never had once problem with the RAM working at all. So I can confirm the RAM worked just fine on the Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro. The main feature of this RAM has got to be the huge white heatsinks paired with chrome accents. The RAM is heatsinks work great as temps topped out at a mere 36 degrees Celsius. A white scheme has become very popular and has a following just like  the RGB fans. Most content creators love the white. I can see why because once you start adding these to your system its just starts to feel classy. They are bright and stand out even with out RGB. I can say I am a fan too. The overall design is very square with a couple of notches where the chrome accents run. The height of the RAM could cause some issues with some coolers so be sure you have the clearances.

Overall, if the RAM wasn’t priced at 130 bucks. I could find some complaints with the timings. But from what I can find these are fairly priced. You could try and overclock these but I am not a fan of overclocking my RAM. You really need to understand what does what when you start messing with RAM. The RAM stayed nice and cool under load with these huge heat spreaders. And like I always say, I would rather have higher MHz then GB. And so far 16GB is plenty for us gamers and light content creators.
