EVGA X17 Gaming Mouse Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Well we reached the conclusion, where I’m going to sum up my experience with the X17. First off this mouse’s design is spot on. The curve of the mouse natural fits into a resting palm. Place your hand on your desk like you are reaching for a mouse. I did this several times and noticed that I always place my hand with my thumb slightly raised and more weight on the outside of my palm. I never placed my hand perfectly parallel to the desk. And if you notice this mouse has a very similar shape to how I was setting my hand down. If you look closely most mice have a slight slope to one side but the EVGA has taken that a slope a little further and it really gave me a natural grip when I was using this mouse. This mouse was very comfortable to use. The smooth finish and rubber side grips add to the comfortability and usability of this mouse.

So for a world first triple sensor mouse I would expect this mouse to be on of the best I have used. Between the lift off detection, 3389 sensor, and the 8000Hz report rate, this indeed is one of the most responsive units I have used. The lift off is accurate even when you are lifting your mouse to get more real estate out of your mouse pad. This can give you a huge advantage if you a lower your LOD and the mouse stops reporting as soon as possible when it’s picked up. And with the software you can calibrate this feature!

You need RGB on a mouse right. Yep, I agree. EVGA didn’t forget about that either. We have 3 separate zones on the X17. One on the very front that emits a nice glow out of the front of the mouse. The next zone is on the scroll wheel and the third is on the very back of the mouse where the logo is.

The EVGA X17 Gaming Mouse can be found on Amazon as well as various other e-tailers for around $79.99 USD.
