Conclusion and Verdict
The V730 will round out your starter gear nicely. The lighting does have its limitations only allowing the color to be red. But with that you can switch between 5 lighting styles. This gives you some lighting customization but limits you on the available color. The lights are bright and light up the keycaps very uniformly. This keyboard doesn’t have the dedicated multimedia keys or a volume wheel. This really isn’t a deal breaker for me personally because I rarely use them anyways. So if you are someone that doesn’t utilize these features this keyboard will be perfect for you as well. This is the perfect keyboard for any starter. It will lack some of the fancy features but will provide you plenty of keyboard power.
The keyboard has a built in wrist rest. The wrist rest can’t be detached and doesn’t have any padding. The wrist rest is textured, not a rubber material. The keycaps seem to be of the same quality of the other keyboard offered by patriot. Lastly the aluminum chassis is absolutely fantastic. The durability of the frame is built to withstand the many hours you are about to throw at it.

The V730 offers an aluminum chassis, different lighting effects, and Kaihl brown switches. These features offer any entry level gamer a respectable start into gaming hardware. The price is fair and the keyboards performance well exceeds expectations.
