Sharkoon Light² 200 White Gaming Mouse Review

Closer Look

The Sharkoon Light² 200 mouse comes in a small, well-described box. On the side of the box, we will find all the key features and specifications. Everything we may want to know is printed on the exterior. The package is perfect for retail stores.

We will find the mouse, a user’s manual, an additional top cover, and a spare set of skates inside the box. Everything is well-protected and suggests that the product is high quality.

Like the Light² 180, also the Light² 200 has a honeycomb design. It affects the weight and comfort during longer gaming sessions. The top cover can be replaced if we wish to have a more standard mouse.

The cable is covered with a braided textile which makes the cable look better and is better protected.

The mouse has six programmable buttons, which are perfect for most gamers. Those who play MMORPG games may need some more, but of course, it’s a personal preference. Like in the Light² 180, we can program five different modes, macros, or anything else we need.

There is a manual switch on the bottom of the mouse for the DPI, which we can use if the software isn’t in use. It’s a good idea as one of these speeds can be enough for our daily work or gaming.

The mouse uses a PixArt PMW 3389 sensor and high durable Omron switches. The sensor supports up to 16000 DPI, which is an improvement over the Light² 180 mouse, which could go as high as 12000 DPI. I don’t think it makes a big difference, but maybe someone needs so high DPI for specific usage.

The mouse weighs 62 grams, so even slightly less than the Light² 180. The weight and high-quality skates make it move smoothly on various surfaces. In tests, we used the Sharkoon SGP30 XXL mousepad, which is perfect for gaming and does not limit our movement.

The Light² 200 mouse feels like the previously tested Light² 200. Both perform great, move without problems, and are very light to the point you stop thinking about the mouse and keep using it. This is how the mouse should work. There were no problems during a couple of days’ tests. The connection was perfect, and there were no issues while playing games or using it for more standard activities.
