Today we’ll be taking a look at the ASRock B650 PRO RS Motherboard. This motherboard uses AMD’s mainstream B650 chipset supporting all of AMD’s latest Ryzen 7000 series of processors on the AM5 socket. The B650 is targeted at the mainstream market and only offers a total 36 usable PCIE lanes. It does not support PCIE 5 slot for next-graphics cards, but it does offer support for some CPU overclocking and AMD’s EXPO for memory profiles.

The ASRock B650 PRO RS features a 14+2+1 Power phase design with SPS for stability. It supports DDR5 ram with speeds of up to DDR5-6200 OC, and comes with comes 1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 steel slot for your graphics card, 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, and 1 x PCIe 4.0 x1 slot.

For storage, it comes 1 x Blazing M.2 PCIE Gen5x4 slot, 1 x Hyper M.2 PCIE Gen4x4, 1 x M.2 PCIe Gen3x2, and 4 SATA ports for your SSDs. And for connectivity, it features with the Dragon 2.5 Gigabit LAN and an optional module for WiFi, using the M.2 Key-E slot.

The B650 chipset is one of four chipsets offered by AMD in their 600-series, and it’s targeted at the mainstream market. It supports all the latest Ryzen 7000 series of processors on the new AM5 socket (LGA1718), but only provides a total of only 36 usable PCIE lanes. However, have said that, it does supports some CPU overclocking and AMD’s EXPO for optimized memory profiles, as well as DDR5 memory, PCIE Gen5x4 for M.2 SSDs, but sadly no PCIE 5 slot for GPUs. Let’s take a closer look below …
