Inside the box, you’ll find the instruction manual, software setup guide, an ASRock postcard, drivers disc, I/O shield, 2 packs of SATA data cables, and 3 x M.2 screws for your SSDs.

 

The H470 Steel Legend Motherboard

The motherboard has the usual “Steel Legend” look with its black/white/gray camo design and large Aluminum alloy heatsinksfor the VRMs/Mosfets. You’ll also find one M.2 Armor heatsinks for the SSD and another large heatsink that covers both the chipset and the additional M.2 connector.

A Steel Legend etched logo is found on the right edge of the motherboard and complements quite nicely when the Polychrome RGB is active.

 

 

A Closer Look

The motherboard comes with a decent amount of features including … 6 x SATA ports, 1 x PCIE 4.0 x16 steel slots, 1 x PCIE 3.0 x16 slot, 2 x PCIE 3.0 x1 slots, 1 x Hyper M.2 (PCIE Gen4) slot, 1 x Ultra M.2 slot, 1 x Hyper M.2 slots for SSDs, and 1 x M.2 Wifi connector.

For connectivity, there’s 2 x USB 2.0, PS/2 keyboard/mouse connector, HDMI, Displayport, 2 x Gen2 (both Type-A and Type-C), 2 x USB 3.2 Gen1, Dragon 2.5GB LAN, and the usual array of connectors for 7.1 HD audio.
