Installation
I didn’t encounter any real issues with installation. Everything seems to be good. It’s exactly like installing the TRX40 Taichi motherboard, which we reviewed last week.
For our tests, we used the Viper VPN100 M.2 SSD. Although it only supports PCIE 3.0, it should give us some decent performance. Unlike the TRX Taichi motherboard, once the M.2 SSD is installed, you still have the option to access it by removing the individual heatshield.
BIOS
The BIOS was surprisingly easy to use. You’ll find all the options for adjusting CPU, memory speeds and voltages. For our tests, we left the CPU settings to default AUTO at 3.8GHz, but set the XMP profile to DDR4-3200. All other settings were left untouched on AUTO.
Please note. Not all memory are compatible the AMD Ryzen motherboards, that’s for both AM4 and the latest sTRX4 motherboards. I would check the QVL of the TRX40 Creator here.
