The Box and Packaging

Inside the box, you’ll find the usual instruction manual, software setup guide, postcard, drivers disc, 2 packs of SATA data cables, 2 x M.2 screws for your SSDs, a Hyper Quad M.2 card and a wifi antenna for the Wifi 6.

 

The ASRock TRX40 Taichi Motherboard

The motherboard features the renowned Taichi design, and comes with silver heatsinks for the VRMs/Mosfets and a single heatpipe. Notice the metal backplate on the back of the motherboard. This helps with cooling and also provide extra support. 

You’ll also find a full cover heat shield for the Hyper M.2 SSD slots and comes with an integrated fan for active cooling of the chipset. 

 

A Closer Look

The motherboard is absolutely pack with great features and comes with 8 x SATA ports, 3 x PCIE 4.0 x16 steel slots, 1 x PCIE 4.0 x1 slots, 2 x Hyper M.2 slots for SSDs (covered my a full coverage heatsink with active fan), as well as onboard diagnostic LEDs, and buttons for clear CMOS, power on/off and reset. Notice the large heatsink with twins fans for cooling the VRMS/Mosfets.

For the rear I/O panel, there’s 2 wifi antenna connectors, a BIOS flashback button, 4 x USB 3.2 Gen1, PS/2 keyboard and mouse port, 3 x USB 3.2 Gen2 (2 Type-A and 1 Type-C). There’s also the Intel gigabit ethernet LAN, Realtek 2.5G LAN, and of course the usual array of connectors for 7.1 HD audio.
