ASRock X370 Taichi (AM4) Motherboard Review

ASRock has continued to make strides with their latest AMD Ryzen motherboards, especially when it comes to their Taichi lineup. Definitely one of my favorite motherboard manufacturers, ASRock continues to raise the bar when it comes to features and performance at any given price point. This trend continues today with their latest AM4 offering in the X370 Taichi motherboard which pushes the envelope of price/performance ratio and awesome factor.

I would like to thank ASRock for providing the review sample. This is a snippet from what ASRock has to say about themselves on their website:

ASRock Inc. is established in 2002, specialized in the field of motherboards. ASRock strives to build up its own brand. With the 3C design concept, “Creativity, Consideration, Cost-effectiveness”, the company explores the limit of motherboards manufacturing while paying attention on the eco issue at the same time, developing products with the consideration of eco-friendly concept.

ASRock has been growing fast and become world third largest motherboard brand with headquarter in Taipei, Taiwan and branches in Europe and the USA. The young and vibrant company targets from mainstream to enthusiast MB segments for different kinds of users, owning reputation around the world market with its reliability and proficiency.

We’ll be testing the ASRock X370 Taichi motherboard on our new test rig which is comprised of an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X processor, 16GBs (2x8gb kit) of Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz DDR4 memory (provided by Crucial), EVGA GTX 1080ti SC2 11GB graphics card, Samsung 850 Evo 250GB M2 SSD, as well as a Corsair RX850 power supply.

I’m expecting very good performance from our new test rig, especially with the 6-core Ryzen 1600X and the very impressive EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING 11 GB which we review last month. OK, now let us now take a look at the extensive feature set of the motherboard!

The ASRock X370 Taichi (AM4) Motherboard motherboard is available at e-tailers such as Amazon for only $220-190 USD.
