ASRock X399 Taichi (Ryzen Threadripper) Motherboard Review

The Ryzen Threadripper 1950X

And here’s the photos of the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X in all its glory. Buy the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X for USD $999 from Amazon – http://amzn.to/2wVZgUu

Installation

We didn’t encounter any issues with installation. We used the same Thermaltake Water 3.0 RGB 360 AIO cooler as we did for the Zenith Extreme review.

After mounting the AIO cooler, you can see there’s some room around the processor socket and DIMM slots for extra cooling. Our Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 fitted in nicely.

As I’m using a test bench here, I had plenty of room to get my hands/arms right in there, so building the system was a breeze. For all of you guys, I would recommend that you purchase a full tower chassis with plenty of room.

The BIOS

The ASRock BIOS is pretty much self explanatory. There are loads of options for tweaking your BIOS, especially if you want to do some overclocking. And if you have higher speed DDR4 memory, you have the option to enable XMP profiles, which will automatically give you the best configuration and memory timings.

I left everything to default… that’s my preference 😉
