BIOSTAR B760A-Silver Gaming Motherboard Review

Performance – Part 2

3D performance and games

3D tests were performed on the Colorful RTX4080 graphics card, so one of the fastest new graphics cards. All results in 3D tests and games are exceptional and should satisfy even the most demanding gamers.

Above is a result of the Final Fantasy XV Benchmark, while below are our results in the Superposition benchmark at 4K and 8K display resolutions.

The most popular is, of course, 3DMark series benchmarks. As you can see, all results are described by the database as “Legendary,” meaning they’re on top of the list at the given specification.

All UL benchmarks are showing some excellent scores for our setup. There are no problems with stability or performance. PCI Express bandwidth is about 25.38GB/s. It’s not the best, but acceptable. Current graphics cards can’t use PCIe 5.0 bus, while Biostar B760A-Silver supports it. It’s good info for all planning a PC that can be upgraded in a few years.

Results in modern games at 1080p and 1440p screen resolution are about as high as on the most expensive Z790 motherboards. I’m sure that gamers will be satisfied with the performance of the B760A-Silver motherboard. The main difference seems to be motherboard features and additional controllers. Then we may need to pay more for a higher series motherboard than the one with the B760 chipset.
