Colorful CVN B460M Gaming Pro V20 Motherboard Review

Performance – part 3

3D performance and games

3D tests were performed on the XFX RX5600 XT graphics card, so probably a perfect match for a budget but still a fast gaming PC. All games and benchmarks passed without issues and were providing repeatable results.

Above is a result of the Final Fantasy XV Benchmark, while below, you can take a look at our results in 3DMarks and VRMarks.

As far as in the Final Fantasy XV benchmark, we can’t see it so clearly, then in UL benchmarks, the CPU and RAM performance is already visible. The lack of a higher turbo boost and higher memory frequency affects the scores, which are up to 4% worse than on the previously reviewed Z490 motherboards.

Below are some results in Superposition benchmark at high display resolutions and the most popular 1080p at high details. Here the results are similar to what we could see in the Final Fantasy XV benchmark so about as high as those made on the Z490 motherboards.

Even though some benchmarks are showing slightly lower performance than on the more expensive Z490 chipset, then it’s not significant enough for most users to pay the price difference. The CVN B460M Pro Gaming feels like a good option for gamers who don’t really overclock but want to spend time playing favorite titles.
