Today we will be presenting the Gigabyte AMD B550 AORUS Pro from Gigabyte! The B550 chipset will have some limitations compared to X570 but will provide a budget friendly option for the Ryzen 3000 CPU’s. And still provide all the great speed we are looking for! For some time now Gigabyte has been the choice, for me personally, when I buy my Motherboards. Reason being I feel Gigabyte has always accommodated the budget friendly builders. Gigabyte has always offered a slew of different setups. I personally like this because I don’t like paying for features I don’t use. If I can get the exact same chipset but minus thunderbolt at a way cheaper price, I am all for that because that would be something I would never use. In the Aorus line up we have the all new B550! Just be sure to check the specs and compare and get the features you will be using. Well Let’s get to it and check out the extensive feature set of the B550 AORUS Pro. If you are looking at this board you are probably most likely wanting the option PCIe 4.0!
In the dark, starless night, the falcon strikes fear into the heart of its prey. Even with minimal visibility, the falcon pinpoints its prey and patiently anticipates the perfect moment to swoop in for the kill. The falcon with its laser sharp gaze dominates the darkness of night in the same manner that AORUS Core Lighting illuminates the vast AORUS ecosystem.
If you’re not too sure what the main differences are between the X570 and the B550 chipset, here is an easy chart for comparison. Basically, the X570 offer full PCIE Gen4 support for both the General Purpose Lanes and CPU chipset uplinks, which will allow for faster performance. While the B550 can only provide PCIE Gen3 support for those lanes.
And to be honest, you’ll won’t see that much of a difference in performance between the two. One of the main advantages of the B550 chipset, is that their motherboards are cheaper and attractively priced, while offering similar performance to the X570.
