SuperMicro C7Z370-CG-IW ITX Motherboard Review

Performance: Part 1

CPU and Memory

Performance in rendering benchmarks like Cinebench series is as good as expected. There were no issues durign multiple runs and results were repetable.

Memory performance is also as high as expected. Both memory and cache tests are showing good performance which we can compare to the highest motherboards from the competition. At the same time, even the latest memory kits which are not on the QVL list run at XMP settings. No matter what IC is used. On the screenshots you can see new G.Skill Sniper X DDR4-3600 memory kit.

Also stability test at DDR4-3600 settings so XMP profile of said G.Skill memory.

Storage: USB 3.0/3.1, SATA

USB tests are based on Lexar DT512 USB 3.0 drive which depends on the motherboard is able to run at above 400MB/s. As you can see below, We were able to pass 436MB/s which is a great result. Not many motherboards can achieve so high bandwidth, especially that drive is in 99% full.

SATA tests were performed on the Crucial BX300 480GB SSD. Results are a bit weird because of drive itself. Empty drive is acting somehow better. In CrystalDiskMark we can see higher write bandwidth than read. On the other hand in both benchmarks maximum bandwidth is as high as declared by Crucial with maximum of 554MB/s. Also random bandwidth is high which is boosted by the CPU and SATA controller ( also caching ).

On the next page are couple of more performance tests.
