Buy now at Amazon – http://amzn.to/2ujRBh6

At FunkyKit, we previously had a quick look that the SJCAM M20 action camera at the HKEF 2016, and our initial thoughts when taking into consideration of the  expected price, build and capabilities, that the M20 would no doubt be a little gem.

A big thanks to SJCAM for sending us the M20 action camera for our review, and boy did we have some serious fun with it! Not only did SJCAM send along the M20, they were very kind enough to throw in the weather-proof SJ Smart Remote and the SJCAM Smart RF Remote Controller & Self-Stick as well.

OK, let’s dive straight in.

SJCAM M20 Action Camera

The SJCAM M20 is SJCAM’s smallest action camera to date. Weighing in at just 55 grams the M20 truly has a miniature form factor. But do not be fooled by the M20’s small size. The camera is one of SJCAM’s most feature robust products ever. Powered by a NTK96660 processor, the M20 takes vivid pictures, and awesome 2,5K videos, via its Sony IMX206 16 mega pixel sensor. Other hot features include Gyro stabilization for smoothing out the bumps when shooting high definition video, adjustable FOV, fish-eye correction function, and quick start recording, Instant AV-out, underwater mode, double file back-up record, MP4 & MOV video support, and JPG & RAW picture output. Moreover, M20 is the first SJCAM camera to support a bluetooth remote controller.

SJCAM M20

At around the turn of the year, we saw more and more budget action cameras having the capability to record 4K video. Video resolution and frame rates are key to the success of an action camera and as well as 4K at 24fps the camera offers 2k at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps and 720 at 120fps giving you plenty of scope. The footage is captured on a Sony IMX206 16 mega pixel sensor with 16.25 million pixels.

This is great, but I found another good camera, it’s AKASO EK7000 4K wifi sports action camera, cheap and good quality, you can go to look at it, then you can do a different review,it will be great.

Thanks for the feedback. TBH, we were pushed for time with publishing this review so there was a lot we skipped over. We will definitely try to have all the bases covered in future reviews.
