Performance
Just from visual and physical inspection of the Siberia v3. I notice the softness of the ear cups. The suspension support system seems to be durable. The v3 definitely passes the test in design. I used the Siberia v3 for about 20 hours to get an accurate opinion of the performance and feel. The only thing outside of the onboard sound I used Dolby Home Theater to play with equalizer settings. I kept the headphones on my head for an extended time of roughly three hours. Now with details of my methodology for testing the Siberia v3, let me tell you the results. I can sum up the Siberia v3 with one word; IMPRESSIVE. My ears never bothered me and I did not have to keep adjusting the headset to relieve any pinching or irritation to my ears.
The Siberia v3 are by far the most comfortable pair of headphones I have ever worn. With the suspension support the Siberia v3 feels weightless when wearing. My head did not suffer any blood flow repercussions when I removed the headset after using. You understand what I mean when you use a headset that clamps on your ears and head so hard that when you take the headset off you let out a big sigh so you do not pass out from the blood rushing back! SteelSeries nailed the design on comfort. The Siberia v3 is a pleasure to wear for long periods of time.
Now for the sound. When you are in the position to have to use headphones; the first thing you mum over is the sound sacrificed compared to a full surround system. Well SteelSeries took that fulfilling sound and packed it all 1/4 inch from your ear. The Siberia v3’s sound is amazing. The bass is deep, and as it may not blow you hair straight up like a subwoofer , the simulation of the sound the bass produces gives you the sense that there is a subwoofer at your feet. The mid-range and highs are a perfect mix neither of which is overpowering the other making for the perfect audio combination. I even played bass boosted songs and the Siberia v3 brought a smile to my face!
The microphone performed well and had zero complaints on the other end from everyone I had the chance to chat with while using the v3.
