Crucial P3 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Crucial P3 2TB performs better than specified, and it will for sure satisfy all users who are searching for a fast but inexpensive SSD for work or gaming. The SSD passed all our tests without issues achieving higher-than-expected bandwidth and exceptional results in random operations. In some tests, it was even faster than a much more expensive PCIe 4.0 SSD.

During the tests, the P3 SSD wasn’t overheating and, for the most time, was keeping up to 60°C. There was no chance of thermal throttling, even though we were not using additional heatsinks. It makes the P3 a perfect SSD for mobile devices.

The drive itself uses a standard size M.2 2280, so it fits every modern computer, which is a clear advantage. It’s also compatible with gaming consoles and other devices like NAS.

The Crucial P3 2TB NVMe SSD costs around USD $157 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/3V4ZGA6 … Or around $165 in the Crucial store. Both options are pretty reasonable for all this SSD is offering.

Crucial also gives a 5-year warranty for the P3 series SSD, which confirms that the brand is sure of the high quality of its product. Not many less expensive, competitive SSD have such a long warranty.
