KLEVV CRAS C930 1TB NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD Review

Package and its Contents

KLEVV CRAS C930 1TB SSD arrived in a retail package that is about the size of the typical M.2 SSD box of most other brands. The package is well described with all the features and main specifications. There is also info about support and various safety certificates.

Inside the box, we will find an SSD, a heatsink, and a heatsink’s installation instruction. The SSD installation is straightforward, and it’s described in every motherboard manual.

The C930 SSD looks like any other SSD in M.2 2280 standard. Due to its standard design, it’s compatible with all modern motherboards, laptops, gaming consoles, and other devices.
The heatsink makes the SSD look unique. Even though some other brands use similarly looking heatsinks, then not many keep it in a stylish black theme that matches every PC.

Most tests were performed with a motherboard’s heatsink, while the heatsink that comes with the C930 SSD was used mainly for high-load tests and to find out the throttling point. As I mentioned, we haven’t seen it throttling during our tests.
I like the fact that the heatsink is not pre-attached like in most competitive SSD. We can freely install it in the way we wish while we already reviewed other brand SSDs that even had warranty stickers, stopping us from removing the heatsink if we wished to keep the warranty.

On the next page of this review, we will take a closer look at the performance.
