Lexar High-Endurance 64GB microSDHC/microSDXC UHS-I Card Review

Performance

For tests has been used ASUS GL552VW laptop with Intel USB 3.0/3.1 controller and Lexar micro SD card reader. Tests results are quite amazing and below you can see why.

Lexar is declaring maximum read bandwidth of 40MB/s and lower writes. However ATTO can’t agree with that. We could see as high bandwidth as 90MB/s read and 40MB/s write. I guess that 40MB/s limit can be related to devices which are using USB 2.0 link as many devices have integrated USB card readers. USB 2.0 can reach up to 40MB/s and usually it’s about 32-35MB/s.

CrystalDiskMark is showing even better results. Not much better but 2MB/s higher than what we could see in ATTO is still significant difference. At the same time we can see that random bandwidth results are quite high for a micro SD card. Over 9MB/s random 4K read and over 1MB/s random write is really good result.

Even Anvil’s Storage Utilities is showing really good results and not much lower than other benchmarks. It’s really great to receive something much faster than expected.

Results are as you can see, simply amazing. High durability and high performance in one small package sounds like a perfect combination. I’m sure that High-Endurance Lexar cards will be interesting option for many users.
