At this point, I feel like I should repeat what I said in the Patriot Viper VPN100 512GB review. The VP4100 feels like a direct replacement or improvement. It’s faster, has low profile heatsink and more extended warranty. At first sight not so much, but in reality, all these little changes make a difference. It’s clear that the Viper VP4100 is a top choice for gamers.

During all tests there were no problems with performance drops, overheating or anything else what sometimes happens to competitive M.2 PCIe SSD. The drive also doesn’t require any individual drivers or software if we use Windows 10 series operating system. It already became a standard too, even though some users don’t want to switch from already old Windows 7.

The only problem is the fact that to achieve the best results, we will need a motherboard with the X570 chipset. These motherboards are quite expensive, and for many users, the latest AMD platform is not as appealing as expected. Many users will stick to their Intel-based PCs until this brand release a new chipset.

The VP4100 1TB costs about $230, which is not cheap, but if we want the fastest possible SSD, then it’s a quite good offer.

Viper VP4100 is covered by a five-year warranty what is worth to mention as it raises the value of the product and proves its high quality.

The Viper VP4100 is a perfect drive for all who demand top performance. It would be even better if on the market were more chipsets that can support PCIe 4.0 x4. It doesn’t change the fact that the drive offers top performance, high compatibility, high quality, and all that covered by a five-year warranty. Also, the price is not really scary for those who build high-end computers, so everything is as good as expected.
