ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT Phantom Gaming D 12GB OC Graphics Card Review

AMD recently launched their so-called “refresh” of their Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards. For naming purposes, these graphics cards will have new SKUs in the format of Radeon RX 6×50 XT … for example, the enthusiast-grade RX 6950 XT, the high-end RX 6850 XT and gamer’s choice, the RX 6750 XT.

And today will be taking a look at the ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT featuring AMD’s RDNA2 architecture. It now comes with 12GB GDDR6 ram running at the faster 18 Gbps speed on a 192-bit memory bus.

The GPU base clock speed is set at 2495 Mhz, with a boost clock of 2623 MHz, while the game clock operates at 2554 MHz. To power the graphics cards, you’ll need 2 x 8-pin PCIE power cables. It has TBP (or total board power) of around 250W, so we recommend a minimum power supply of 850W or higher.

For cooling, it comes with ASock Phantom Gaming 3X Cooling System featuring 3 Striped Axial Fans, a reinforced frame and metal backplate. The output includes 3 x DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC and 1 x HDMI 2.1 VRR support. Oh, and I forgot … this graphics card also supports ASRock’s Polychrome SYNC, of course.

Chip shortages are slowly easing in Q2 of 2022, and current prices of graphic cards are slowly coming down from the highs of 2021, where retailers were selling graphic cards at 3 x MSRP! Having said that, prices are still slightly above the original MSRP and availability is still an issue. This could all change with the news that AMD are planning to launch their new AM5 platform, Zen 4 processors and their next-gen Radeon RX 7000 series this fall.

Now you know what’s happening … let’s get back on track and take a look at the ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT Phantom Gaming D 12GB.

I would like to thank ASRock for providing the review sample. This is a snippet from what ASRock has to say about themselves on their website:

ASRock Inc. is established in 2002, specialized in the field of motherboards. ASRock strives to build up its own brand. With the 3C design concept, “Creativity, Consideration, Cost-effectiveness”, the company explores the limit of motherboards manufacturing while paying attention on the eco issue at the same time, developing products with the consideration of eco-friendly concept.

ASRock has been growing fast and become world third largest motherboard brand with headquarter in Taipei, Taiwan and branches in Europe and the USA. The young and vibrant company targets from mainstream to enthusiast MB segments for different kinds of users, owning reputation around the world market with its reliability and proficiency.

Here’s a quick comparison between AMD’s Radeon RX 6700 XT, RX 6800 XT, RX 6900 XT and ASRock’s lastest Radeon RX 6750 XT (in red).

As you can see from the table above, the ASRock’s new Radeon RX 6750 XT Phantom Gaming D 12GB OC comes with the same amount of compute cores, ray accelerators and stream processors as the RX 6700 XT. Clock speeds are about the same, but this time it uses faster memory speeds of 18Gbps. Total board power (TBP) has now increased to 250W.

Like the orignal Radeon RX 6700 XT, the new card features the same reinforced metal frame, a stylish backplate and ASRock’s Phantom Gaming 3X Cooling System. It also comes with a massive heatsink, heatpipes, v-shaped air vents, and 3 axial fans with one featuring a unique ARGB fan in the middle of the card, that supports ASRock’s Polychrome Sync.

We’ll be testing this graphics card on our usual test rig, which is comprised of an an Intel Core i9-12900KF processor, ASRock Z690 Taichi RAZER EDITION and 32GB of Viper Gaming Venom DDR5-6200 memory. I’m expecting to get some good scores during our benchmarks, especially with an overclocked GPU and faster memory speeds. It should sit somewhere between a GeForce RTX 3060 and a RTX 3070.

Right, let’s not waste any more time and start by checking the specifications of the graphics card on our next page.

You can buy the ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT 12GB OC Graphics Card for around USD $541-650  from Amazon – https://amzn.to/3kZYP6U
