Diamond Multimedia’s R9 380 Graphics Card Review

Hello Funky Kit readers! Today I am reviewing the R9 380 from Diamond Multimedia. A few months ago I reviewed the GC 2000 game capture from Diamondmm (feel free to  click on the link if you are interested in reading the review again). I walked away very impressed with the game capture. You see, Diamondmm is an old school tech company who are reemerging in the video game-play market. They have most recently sent me the R9 380 4 Gb video card. I am very interested in seeing how this card performs! Especially since most outlets state that the 380 is a re badge of the R9 285, which of course is the card I am currently using with my personal computer. This review is going to be a bit different than my past reviews. I will be embedding You Tube videos through out the review showing the packaging, contents, closer look, installation and testing. This is the first run doing a review this way. Feel free to let me know how well you thought I did, while also letting me know of any improvements I might be able to make!

The AMD Radeon R9 380 graphics card from Diamond Multimedia was built to play the most demanding games. This video card is capable  of playing on all the highest resolutions, including the newest 4k resolution. Enhance the your game play with 1080p that would rival any 4k resolution using the Virtual Super Resolution (VSR). Boost your gaming performance at higher resolutions with 256-bit architecture, faster memory interface, and larger frame buffer capacity. This card is DirectX 12 Compatible and comes with all the new AMD technologies such as Eyefinity and Crossfire. Using Eyefinity allows you to set up multiple displays using this card, while Crossfire allows this card to be used with another video card. I will be comparing this card to my current card the R9 285x Windforce from Gigabyte. Well lets get to it and see what this card is all about!

I would like to thank Diamond Multimedia for providing the review sample. This is what Diamond Multimedia has to say about themselves on their website:
