Packaging
I always like to highlight the packaging during the review process. Knowing what the package looks like can be very helpful if you are concerned in receiving a genuine product from a 3rd party retailer. This particular card will arrive in a box typical in size for what you would expect for a video card. The inside was a little different. There was no static bag and the card if secured in a clear plastic casing that snaps together. Kind of what like you would find when you get RAM.

The EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra cards are designed for the gamer who demands a screaming-fast card, ice-cold three-fan cooling, an all-metal backplate*, and attractive ARGB lighting. The FTW3 cards also feature iCX3 Cooling to provide a unified copper block for GPU and memory, a thicker heatsink to provide exceptional cooling, three fans to cool the card efficiently and quietly, and a 2-slot bracket to ensure case compatibility.
As you can see in the pictures above and below: The backplate and cooling have a decent look to them. The backplate is all metal and has a red pin stripe to add to the visual appearance. Also the backplate has holes that allow for air to flow through the entire card. Kind of like the FE, Just not as much makes it through.
The fans retain the EVGA emblem molded into the blades. This doesn’t add to cooling factor but does add to coolness factor. The card is right at the 2 slot height and the cooler shroud is completely flat and doesn’t have any protruding designs. We also have 4 copper heat pipes that travel across the heatsink and through the fins. You can also see the giant copper heatsink without even tearing anything apart.
