The Yeyian Proud Series 3500 Gaming Headset
Weighing in at only 304g, this gaming headset is pretty light-weight. As it’s made from light-weight plastic, the overall build quality is ok.
A Closer Look
The headset comes with a detachable micophone with a built-in wind shied, which is nice. As you can see below, you’ll find a padded leatherette headband, and large over-ear earcups. These earcups features a smooth-touch finish and dual-layer memory foam ear cushions, which allows for comfortable wear during long periods of gameplay.
You’ll also find volume controls as well as a mute button on the 1.8m braided audio cable, which unfortuately is non-detatachable. The RGB lighting is provide by a LED strip which is found along the outer edge of each earcup. The USB cable needs to be plugged in to power the RGB lighting in order for it to work.
The 3.5mm jack is quite useful, as it allows users to connect the headset to any Smarthphones, PS4, Xbox ONE or PC. You also get an audio splitter calble with 3.5mm jacks for separating mic and speaker.
How it Fits
Verdict and Conclusion
After a weekend’s worth of gaming I find the Yeyian Proud Series 3500 to be quite a comfortable gaming headset. The over-ear earcups did provide an immersive gaming experience although I did have slightly sweaty ears LOL! I mean what did you expect after 4-5 hours of non-stop gaming.
The large 50mm driver did give me good audio which was loud enough and clear, although I would have preferred a bit more bass.
One thing I found surprising is the USB connection. When connected to my PC, it doesn’t recognise the headset, but rather just powers up the RGB lighting. I’m not 100% sure if the headset I received was faulty, but if the USB connector is used just to power the RGB lighting, then I think that’s extrenly odd. In the end, I just used the 3.5mm jack to get the audio. And more thing to note, there’s no On-Off button or any controls for the RGB lighting which is a shame.

Final words
As for as price is concerned, it’s only USD $39.99 … so it’s that not bad considering. I’ve seem worse, but I’ve also seen better. You can buy the Yeyian Proud Series 3500 Gaming Headset
