The unit is fairly compact and weighs in at only 895g. There are 4 wheels on the dolly which are powered a high-precision stepping motor, giving you an ultra quiet operation of only 30 dBA.
Onboard controls include, speed levels 1-5, scroll forward, scroll backward, and the power-on/off button. The LED display will show the current speed and also the battery level.
You’ll also find the USB-C charging port and a 2.5mm shutter jack.
You can adjust the wheels to fixed the scrolling angles between 45°-120°, and this will allow for smooth linear or curved motion.
NEEWER DL300 in Action
The package includes a 360° ball head mount for DSLR cameras, an action camera mount, and a universal phone holder for smartphones.
We used the 360° ball head to mount our Sony a6400 mirrorless camera, which weighs around 403g. So no issues here. The dolly can support larger cameras with a load capacity of up to 6.6lbs (3kg).
We also tried using the universal smartphones holder to mount our iPhone 13 Pro, and it works great – both in landscape (horizontal) and portrait (vertical) mode.
